Davis Taylor (1942 - 2016) was born in Hartford, Connecticut.  He was educated at Williams College, Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and Yale University, where he earned his Ph.D in English.  He was a professor for 15 years at Carleton College, in Northfield, Minnesota, before changing careers to become a psychologist (St. Thomas University) and, later, Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner.  His greatest joy came late in his life as he wrote poetry for his Beloved Avatar Meher Baba. Most of these poems were written in Northern Wisconsin, in the Chequamegon Bay area. He died in Bayfield, Wisconsin, on September 8, 2016 from cancer.
